A Little Bit About Dr. Kelly
Dr. Kelly grew up in a home where natural medicine was foundational. Her extended family includes several chiropractors and she grew up with the mentality that the body has an innate ability to heal with the right tools and support. Initially, she believed she was destined to be a chiropractor herself, but after seeing a naturopathic doctor for anxiety at the end of her undergraduate degree her focus shifted. What stood out to her most was the detailed education, communication and investigative skills a naturopathic doctor provided to patients.
When Dr. Kelly first met and began studying under Dr. Fiona years ago she was immediately impressed by how such a small change can make a large difference in the way a patient feels. She became fascinated with the interconnectedness and complexity of women’s hormones and began to focus her energy and research in this area.
Dr. Kelly self-admittedly ‘geeks out’ over hormones, and loves looking at charts and lab work for clues as to what is going on within the body. She is constantly thinking about how she can impact and make lasting change in her patient’s health and lives for the day when a patient writes in to tell her they feel normal again. This is what motivates her to continually stay on top of ever-evolving research in the area of thyroid health and women’s health.
